On 18 April 1913, the Excelsior wrote, “The Champs-Elysées and surrounding area will henceforth have another attraction for our elegant guests. The Plaza will be opening next Sunday and the magnificent hotel is known to be a microcosm of everything that most pleases our élite visitors – an incomparable location, apartments decorated in a tastefully delicate style and the most modern amenities. The Plaza’s delicious restaurant will be opening shortly and will undoubtedly enjoy the same success.”

Marriott International Continues Rapid Growth in Europe with Iconic Hotel in Paris – Historic Ambassador Hotel to Join Company’s Signature Marriott Hotels Brand – Radisson Blu loses

Marriott International today announced that the 298-room Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel will join its portfolio of more than 3,800 properties worldwide on 1st July 2013 under a franchise agreement with WB AMBASSADOR SAS. Recently, the hotel has been managed by Rezidor Hotel Group as Radisson Blu Ambassador Hotel, Paris Opera.

Marriott International to Open 14th Hotel in Paris with Signing of AC Hotel by Marriott – AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot Opens in 2014

Marriott International, Inc. announced the signing of its first AC Hotel by Marriott in Paris, the 166-room AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot. The hotel will be operated under a franchise agreement with SHEPI SNC. The AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot will represent Marriott International’s 14th hotel in the capital city and its third AC Hotel by Marriott in France.

Die Nutzer des Hotelbewertungsportals zoover.de kürten Österreich mit 12,7 Prozent aller Stimmen zum Gesamtsieger in punkto Gastfreundlichkeit. England und Frankreich schafften es nicht in die Top 10 der beliebtesten Gastgebernationen. Am beliebtesten waren österreichische Gastgeber aus Sicht der Deutschen, Niederländer, Tschechen und der eigenen Landsleute. Bei Schweizern, Belgiern, Dänen, Türken und Schweden schaffte es Österreich jeweils in die Top 3. Europaweit beteiligten sich über 17.000 Besucher des Reiseportals an der Umfrage über die gastfreundlichsten Urlaubsländer.
